Dr. Linda Whitaker

Chief Science Officer

Linda is co-founder of Quantum Retail Technology, Inc. and serves as its Chief Science Officer. As one of the leading innovators and practitioners of retail science in the country, Linda was instrumental in the development of the Q platform and product suite and currently she provides the foundational research, innovation and advanced science for Quantum Retail’s solutions.

Previously Linda served as the Chief Science Officer for 8thbridge, Inc.  She is the creator of the science used in the Graphite workbench, which includes tools for the assessment of customer shopping, social and cross channel behavior, segmentation of consumers, and extensions to clustering and visual representations of social networks as applied to retail consumer behaviors. Prior to co-founding Quantum, Linda spent 10 years developing optimization and scientific solutions for complex retail problems in replenishment, logistics, planning, promotion and consumer behavior at Retek, Inc. (now Oracle) and HNC Software.

Linda received her B.S. in math from Eckerd College and earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in operations research from Georgia Institute of Technology. She has been a member of Quantum’s board of directors since April 2013.
