Chief Technology Officer

As chief technology officer for Quantum Retail Technology, Jay Dorenkamp leads the product development, quality assurance, technical services, IT Operations and customer support teams within Quantum. Jay has more than 20 years of software development experience in the high-tech industry.

Prior to joining Quantum, Jay was vice-president, technology and support with the Paisley business unit of Thomson Reuters. Jay joined Thomson Reuters through the acquisition of Paisley Consulting, a software provider in the governance, risk and compliance space. While at Paisley, Jay was the CTO and helped them develop and deliver the industry leading Enterprise GRC platform and was responsible for the technology and product related operations for Paisley. Jay has also held the position of vice president of technology development for Lawson Software, where he was responsible for the company’s core technology platform and its evolution to J2EE-based standards. Prior to joining Lawson, Jay spent almost 14 years at IBM in various management and technical positions with responsibilities for software systems development and support on IBM’s eServer systems.

Outside of Quantum, Jay enjoys biking, wake-boarding, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, home improvements and technology of virtually any kind.
