Software Quality Assurance Lead

We are looking for a highly motivated Software QA Lead to help lead and coordinate our growing team of software quality specialists through requirements analysis, test script development, integration testing, defect management, regression testing and application readiness.

You will work with engineering leadership, project management, business analysts, application development and operations groups to carry out all phases of testing activity. You will help to further define and improve our quality assurance processes which we see as an absolutely essential part strengthening and maintaining our competitive edge.

Things you’ll be doing:

  • Scheduling of resources and over-site of work for onshore and offshore team members
  • Works with the team often across multiple simultaneous projects to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable and quality solutions according to defined process and schedule
  • Assesses, develops and improves testing skills among team members
  • Manages the development of a growing suite of manual and automated regression tests
  • Assists in scoping and estimation of test activities as part of project planning
  • Responsible for creation of test plans as well as development and execution of test cases

Technical fit:

  • B.S. or B.A in Quality Control, Systems Engineering, Computer science or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance teams
  • Minimum 3 years experience with automated open source and commercial test solutions
  • Minimum 3 years of experience testing Java/J2EE and Web 2.0 Applications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading QA teams of 8 or more members
  • Demonstrated expertise in test methodologies and processes
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational data structures
  • Experience with UNIX environments and shell scripts
