Things you’ll be doing:

• Develop back-end applications that operate on massive amounts of data efficiently.
• Install, run, and test software solutions in a UNIX/Linux environment.
• Design software and draft technical documents.
• Test and debug functional and performance related issues.
• Be a contributing member of a diverse, knowledgeable, and energetic team of engineers.

Technical fit:

• B.S. or B.A in Computer science or related field (Masters preferred).
• Minimum 7+ years software development experience.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational data structures.
• Solid Java skills (minimum 4+ years experience)
• A deep understanding of computational complexity, efficiency, and running times of algorithms.
• Experience with large data sets.
• Experience in optimizing multi-threaded code in parallel environments (e.g. multiple CPUs).
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong motivation and ability to work independently.

Extra Credit:

• Hibernate or other ORM experience.
• Oracle or other relational database experience.
